"El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha" by Miquel de Cervantes Saavedra [Cassell, Petter & Galpin, c1858]. Spanish language. Undated but publisher was active in London under this name only from 1858-1878. There is an inscription from 1879 so possibly printed closer to the later end of operations before adding "and Company" to their name. Half leather over marbled boards. Gilt titling has now faded but some of the decorations remain bright. Marbled endpapers and page edges. 683pp. Front hinge cracked with half title detached but present. Minor marginalia noted in several places throughout the text but otherwise quite clean. Rubbing to boards and aforementioned title fading. Good+ with nice shelf appeal.
